In 2007 I did my first interrail trip around Europe, travelling with a group of 5 friends from school. We flew out to Berlin in mid July, from where we headed south and east to explore some of the classic cities at the heart of Europe. We got as far as Timisoara in western Romania, before heading west again through Belgrade, Zagreb and Ljubljana en route to Italy. We then did a loop of the big Italian cities before spending a relaxing final week in a villa close to Nice in the south of France.
